Anti-Bullying Week is an annual UK event held in the third week of November which aims to raise awareness of bullying of children and young people, in schools and elsewhere, and to highlight ways of preventing and responding to it. Anti-Bullying Week is organised by the Anti-Bullying Alliance in England.
This year, Anti-Bullying week was held from Monday 16th November until Friday 20th November.
At The Fermain Academy, we acknowledged this important week by taking part in daily activities in form as well as other activities throughout the week.
We discussed what it means to be a good friend, donated to our local foodbank, did a day of random acts of kindness and culminated in our Anti-Bullying Pledge, which was signed by all staff and students. Our Student Leaders also worked hard to create a deliver a remote assembly to all students on Friday afternoon – well done Phoebe, Jason and Reece!
A huge thank you to Miss. Young for coordinating the events throughout the week and a big thank you to all the staff and students who got involved and helped to make it a great week
