PFA

At The Fermain Academy, PFA (Preparation for Adulthood incorporating RSE, PSHE and Careers is a core subject for all students, with every learner participating in one PFA session each week. We believe PFA plays a vital role in helping to foster the personal development of our students, preparing them for healthy relationships, responsible citizenship, and successful futures.

Our curriculum is inclusive and engaging, designed to encourage thoughtful discussion, critical thinking and reflection. Students explore Relationships, drugs, alcohol, online safety, sexual health, mental and physical health, British values, careers and finance as well as learning how to navigate emotions, conflict and communication skills.

You can find more details about how we structure and deliver our PFA curriculum in our Tier 2 PFA Curriculum document. PFA Tier 2 Curriculum Document
