Keeping Safe

Keeping Safe

The Fermain Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all our students and each student’s welfare is of paramount importance.

The Fermain Academy expects all staff and visitors to the school to share this commitment.

“We are a community that listens to young people and responds to their ideas and needs.”

We safeguard and promote the welfare of the children in our care and in situations where abuse is suspected our paramount responsibility is to the child.

All adults working with children have a responsibility to safeguard them.

Sharing Concerns

If you have concerns about the safety of any of our students, please raise your concerns as soon as possible with the designated safeguarding leads or in their absence a member of the school’s Leadership Team.
