The Fermain Academy are extremely grateful to have received 6 brand new laptops from the team at Macclesfield-based company, Zuto.

As the country navigates the third national lockdown, it is more important than ever that young people have adequate access to technology.

Although The Fermain Academy are pleased to continue offering face-to-face provision for our learners, these new laptops will be invaluable to support students during periods of isolation and those students who must work from home. Our remote learners will now be able to access their full-timetable of lessons, delivered live to them every day.

Lee Cambray, Head Teacher at The Fermain Academy added “I would like to thank Zuto for their generosity in supplying laptops to The Fermain Academy. The nature of this pandemic means that we can have a number of students having to work from home at any one time, so ensuring that they have access to their learning is a huge priority for us. Staff are working tirelessly to provide a full day of live lessons for every learner and these laptops will ensure that every pupil can access these.”

James Wilkinson, CEO of Zuto added “We are pleased we can make a small difference in our own way. Hearing about the Fermain Academy’s unique approach to learning and the amazing support they provide for their students, it was an obvious choice for us to help in some way. By providing equipment this is just one of the ways I hope we will make a positive difference to the local community in the future.”
